Kent is a beautiful, moderately populated district in British Columbia, Canada, situated approximately 72 miles (116 kilometers) east of the city of Vancouver. The district of Kent is made up of a number of different communities, the largest and most well-known of which is the village of Agassiz. Located at the intersection of Highway #7 and Highway #9, Agassiz is a conveniently located regional farming community that is home to a population of more than 6000 people. Other communities in Kent include Mount Woodside, Ruby Creek, Sea Bird Island, Kent Prairie, Kilby and Harrison Mills. Kent is also home to several different Indian Reserves, all of which are independently governed.

 

Kent residents can swim, boat or fish at one of several lakes, creeks or rivers, enjoy a game of golf at one of five district golf courses, hike, mountain bike, or snow-ski at Hemlock Valley, hang glide at a world class jump off point or wander around and explore one of many valley and mountain trails situated in the area.
